Dead Hearts: A Sisyphean Journey Through a Darkly Haunting World

Dead Hearts is a mesmerizing seven-minute short film that was created for the debut album by Dead Man’s Bones, the musical project of actors Ryan Gosling (Lars and the Real Girl) and Zach Shields.  The staggering short film stars “Machine With Wishbone,” a moving sculpture created by artist Arthur Ganson and  follows the Wishbone’s Sisyphean journey as it wanders past burning barns and eerie graveyards.  This ghoulish film is deeply somber and brooding, and the seven minutes are a true masterpiece.
