A wrecking crew that was demolishing part of the campus library at Allegheny College in Pennsylvania dropped the ball on Monday–literally so!! The 1,500-pound pinball-wrecking ball, which had snapped its cable, began its pinball journey rolling downhill from the campus, which quite unfortunately led along North Main Street in Meadville, Pa., according to a report in today’s edition of The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The ball struck and rebounded off nine cars, kept in play by the curb, before it finally came to rest in the trunk of a car that was being driven by a very surprised Allegheny College student.
