The Amazing Paul Potts: Debut Album Tops Charts

Paul Potts, the mobil-phone salesman from South Wales, roused audience members and stunned judges with his renditions of opera classics on the English television show Britain’s Got Talent.  In June of 2007, it was announced in front of more than 13 million television viewers that he was the winner of the competition that was searching for an act to perform in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance in London.  In addition, Potts received a prize of $250,000 and then signed a recording contract, which was reportedly worth $2 million.  His debut album, One Chance, topped music charts around in countries around the world, including Britain, Australia and New Zealand.

He performed in numerous European concerts, such as one in Copenhagen, appeared on American television’s Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Oprah Winfrey Show. The following videos document Paul Potts’ amazing musical journey.
