Life Passes By: 100 Drums

Life Passes By: 100 Drums

100 Drums is quite a nostalgic short film that includes 100 different persons, banging or tapping on a drum. The drummers range in age from one to 100 years-old. The concluding segments of the film should serve as a reminder to all of us that recognition of our mortality is the most important part of life, and one that we are too often driven to overlook or deny. However, the greater the extent to which we are able to entertain or embrace the sense of our mortality, the more plentiful are our resources for deciding how to live.

Singing for Freedom

Anthony Gargiulia

This is 8-year-old Anthony Gargiulia.  Anthony says that watching American Idol changed his life and made him want to be a singer.  One problem is, though, it’s hard out there for an 8-year old who sings like Frank Sinatra.  But through the power of YouTube, Ellen DeGeneres found him.  Here he is performing Freedom on Ellen’s show and, on a later show, Signed, Sealed, Delivered.  His performances are somewhat awe-inspiring.
