Hillary Litters Campaign Trail with More Whoppers

During the past five weeks, Hillary has featured the story of a health care horror in her campaign speeches, the tale of an uninsured pregnant woman who lost her baby and then died herself after being denied medical care by an Ohio hospital because she could not come up with a $100 fee.

The woman did die last August, two weeks after her baby boy was stillborn at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio. But hospital administrators said Friday that the woman was under the care of an obstetrics practice affiliated with the hospital, that she was never refused treatment and that she was, in fact, insured. “We implore the Clinton campaign to immediately desist from repeating this story,” said Rick Castrop, chief executive officer of the O’Bleness Health System.

A Clinton spokesman, Mo Elleithee, said candidates would frequently retell stories relayed to them, vetting them when possible. “In this case, we did try but were not able to fully vet it,” Mr. Elleithee said. “If the hospital claims it did not happen that way, we respect that.”

However, Linda M. Weiss, a spokeswoman for the not-for-profit hospital, said the Clinton campaign had never contacted the hospital to verify or check on the accuracy of the story, which Hillary said she had first heard from a Meigs County, Ohio, sheriff’s deputy way back in late February.

  1. Peggy McGilligan Says:

It’s a wonder Mr. Zeifman’s account of firing Hillary ever saw the light of day. As you may know, Jerry Zeifman fired Hillary Rodham for her unethical practices during the Watergate Investigation. Zeifman’s story is important. Not only does it go to character, it goes to a lifelong pattern of lying and obfuscation on the part of Hillary Rodham Clinton. And, it took Zeifman twelve years to get it aired. A candidate must be vetted; before being elected or appointed to a position of trust; and it is this awareness, to which every white-collar criminal fine-tunes his or her antenna. After Watergate, Zeifman could not recommend Hillary for any subsequent position of public or private trust, nor furnish her with a letter of recommendation. Should anyone doubt Mr. Zeifman’s veracity regarding the Clintons: http://theseedsof9-11.com

Why exactly was Hillary Clinton fired? “Because she was a liar,” Mr. Zeifman said in an interview last week. “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality.” “The Clintons corrupted the soul of the Democratic Party.” -Henry Ruth, lead Watergate courtroom prosecutor.
