Jason Castro: The Dreams We All Dream Of

And here’s yet another reason to love America: it’s a white man in dreads playing a ukelele, a straight fellow who’s singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow, a song that’s been a national anthem for gay men for decades. Singing a version of it that was written by a Hawaiian in honor of a friend who died an early death because of obesity. Singing to everyone about the dreams that we all dream of, in a way that’s thoroughly sublime.

Diary of a Diorama: Smell This Poop!!

I Was Told There’d Be Cake

Whoa!! Super-book-publicist and nice girl Sloane Crosley has a new book of essays called I Was Told There’d Be Cake, a debut collection of hilariously uncomfortable personal essays. There are fourteen essays and Crosley has created colorfully detailed dioramas, as well as delightfully humorous videos for each of them.

The following diorama-video shows what happens when you have people over for dessert…and then you discover that one of them just happened to have secretly pooped on your bathroom floor.

Vodpod videos no longer available.
