Spider: A Slightly Warped Love Story With Untold Consequences

Spider: A Slightly Warped Love Story With Untold Consequences

Spider is a 9-minute action-thriller short film by Australian filmmaker Nash Edgerton. The acclaimed short was shot on location in Sydney, featuring Nash himself and the rising star of the Australian film scene, Mirrah Foulkes. Spider has played at over 60 film festivals around the world and won 19 awards, including awards at the Sundance Film Festival, the Indianapolis International Film Festival and the Sydney Film Festival.

This clever black-comedy brings a whole new meaning to the old-age adage,”It’s all fun and games until someone loses and eye.” It seems like just an ordinary day for this young Australian couple. Sure, they’ve had a bit of a row, but some flowers and chocolates should patch-up all that. Then they should be able to move on and continue like normal, right? Well, if you’re anarachnophobic , you may want to sit tight and hang on to your seat as this one winds its way toward a bizarre, unexpected plot twist. Spider’s final, rather macabre twist? Well now, you’ll just have to ask Little Miss Muffet about that!
