Trainset Ghetto: Ultra Realistic Miniature Slum Landscapes

Trainset Ghetto: Ultra Realistic Miniature Slum Landscapes

Photography by:  Peter Feigenbaum, NYC

Trainset Ghetto is a series of photographs by Peter Feigenbaum that features increasingly bizarre and phantasmagorical juxtapositions of time, scale, and neighborhood architectural vernaculars, in which his invented, rubble-strewn New York City 1970s miniature slum landscape collides with the almost-gentrified brownstone environment of south Park Slope.  Feigenbaum’s ultra-realistic railroad sets include all the graffiti and urban decay of a typical downtown stroll.

Wednesday: One Day It’s Going to Happen

Wednesday: One Day It’s Going To Happen

Wednesday is the remarkable debut short film by Rob Sorrenti, which has screened at 50 film festivals around the world, has won several awards and has recently been signed to Shorts International, the world’s largest short film distributor.  Wednesday is the story of a girl and boy born on the same day, at the same time, in the same hospital, whose paths cross again years later, in the very same place.

Sam, 24, is shy and introverted.  The only woman in his life is his grandmother, Nan.  Until now.  Lilya, 24, is Nan’s nurse.  She is kind and caring, and Nan would like to bring her and Sam together.  But how?  Nan soon discovers that playing Cupid is strictly for the angels.  As if by chance, when Nan says her goodbye, Sam and Lilya say their hellos.  But there is a sense of déjà vu.   What was always meant to be is now becoming.
