Memories of Stoop Sitting

Memories of Stoop Sitting

Stoop Sitting is a nostalgic stop-motion short film created by Will Hoffman and Daniel Mercadante, for the production company Everynone.  The film captures the magic of the age-old tradition of hanging out on your front porch.  Shot in New Orleans, Stoop Sitting reveals that sitting out on the stoop is deceptive to the casual observer, but much is happening while people are appearing to do nothing.

Common Practice: Music Touching the Hearts of Everyone

Common Practice is an inspiring short film by Marcos Efron, which was selected for the 2006 Sundance Film Festival.  The film tells the story of a young Mexican-American boy in East Los Angeles, whose unique musical gift for playing the violin brings his working class Latino neighborhood together in ways that he never thought possible.  Common Practice was created as a tribute to the power of music to cross cultural boundaries and touch the hearts of everyone.
