The Piano: A Remembrance of Things Past

The Piano: A Remembrance of Things Past

The Piano is a widely acclaimed 3-D animated short film by Aidan Gibbons, a touching retrospective of an older man’s experiences, loves and losses in life.  His reminiscences derive from the evocative imagery created by his piano playing, the music of Yann Tiersen’s evocative and reflective “Comptine d’un autre été: l’après midi.”

Dr. Kill and Mr. Chance: Rockn’ Toll

Dr. Kill and Mr. Chance: Rockn’ Toll

Dr. Kill and Mr. Chance: Rockn’ Toll is a three-minute slapstick animated cartoon from Reality Toon, inspired by the  comedies of Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin and Laurel & Hardy.  This is not the first time that works of fiction have blended animated cartoons with reality, but this one revolutionizes the genre.  In this hilarious short film, Doctor Kill is an ultra-professional gun for hire, using every available means trying to kill Mister Chance, who happens to be the luckiest man in the world.  Each trap that Dr. Kill sets always turns back against himself.  Every one of his attempts is a good excuse for a series of burlesque gags, of comic situations and the wackiest visual mind blowers.
