Paul Potts, the opera-singing mobil-phone salesman from South Wales, roused audience members and stunned judges of the talent show Britain’s Got Talent. In June, it was announced that he was the winner of the competition. Now, his debut album, One Chance, has topped charts around the world.

Randy Pausch didn’t want his last lecture at Carnegie Mellon University to be about dying, but he is, sadly, dying of pancreatic cancer. When he gave his last lecture there, his focus remained on living, or living in the process of dying. Today, he visited The Oprah Winphrey Show and gave a lecture on living.
