Little Japan: A Wonderful Tiny Tokyo

Little Japan: A Wonderful Tiny Tokyo

Little Japan is a wonderful tilt-shift three-minute short film created by Fershad Irani, with music by Jack Johnson. The film was shot during early February 2011, in and around Kyoto and Tokyo. Irami began working on the film while watching news coverage of Japan’s earthquake and tsunami, and sends his message, “To everyone in Japan, stay strong, thoughts are with you.”

The Sandpit: A Day in the Life of a Miniature New York

The Sandpit: A Day in the Life of a Miniature New York

The Sandpit is an amazing  tilt-shift, time-lapse short film by artist Sam O’Hare, who created the film from more than 35,000 pictures.  O’Hare manipulated his photos so that only narrow planes of focus remained sharp, creating an effect that makes the city look like a miniature New York, like a little model.  His shots range from scenes of crowds entering the Met, to construction work at Brooklyn Bridge Park.
