Exactly six months ago, a tormented milk truck driver shot 10 young Amish children at their one-room schoolhouse in Nickle Mines, Pennsylvania, killing five of them and then killing himself. On Monday, a new school building will open close to the site of the rampage.

This article includes music, photographs and an extremely touching memorial slideshow.

According to documents obtained by Fox News, the Broward County Medical Examiner has confirmed that none of the 11 drugs found in Anna Nicole’s hotel room actually were prescribed to her. Documents obtained from the office of Dr. Joshua Perper show that of the 11 drugs, eight were prescribed to her companion, Howard K. Stern.

This is an article about the ghastly film of Anna Nicole as an alien in the shape of a human bombshell, taking on an evil intergalactic terrorist. It’s Smith doing a send-up of an airhead celeb and her place in the Hollywood machine, a role she milked on the unscripted “Anna Nicole Show.”

One might say: An imitation of life imitating an imitation of life. Trailer video is included.

New Hope: Remembering the Amish Tragedy

The Amish Tragedy

Exactly six months after a tormented milk truck driver shot 10 young Amish schoolchildren in Nickle Mines, Pennsylvania, killing five of them and then killing himself, a new school building will open on Monday close to the site of the rampage.  The one-room schoolhouse will come with a new name, the New Hope Amish School.  The new school, which has more sophisticated locks and a location that can be reached only by a private drive, can be seen from the site of the old West Nickel Mines Amish School, which was torn down last October 12th.

Four of the five wounded girls have been able to return to school, but the fifth remains in “a comatose-type condition.”  The 6-year-old girl is fed by a feeding tube and is unable to communicate.  Charles Roberts, apparently tormented by an unconfirmed memory of having molested relatives 20 years earlier and by the 1997 death of his own infant daughter, killed himself after the shootings.  Amish families attended his burial service.  The killer’s widow, Marie, and their three children have since moved from their home in the village of Georgetown, which is about a mile away from where the shooting occurred, to another community within Lancaster County.

The new school, partially made of brick, was funded by donations to the accountability committee, donations which were made directly to the school board and by in-kind contributions.
